Tonepaper (2013)

Silkeborg 2013

2000 pieces of handmade paper, size 17 x 24cm. Made from cotton,
birch and linen. All sheets contain fine sawdust of resonating
spruce wood.

Historically, the quality of a sheet of handmade paper was determined by the sound it made when shaken. At the Papirmuseum in Silkeborg, I collaborated with the museum staff and we developed four different kinds of handmade paper, each with a distinctively different tone. These sheets form the basis of the solo publication Eavesdropping, which was published by CURA press in May 2014.
