The work consists of three ceramic objects, stretched cords of silk and two dancers.
The work takes as its starting point, the complexity surrounding the scientific phenomenon of the three-body problem and the Chinese sci-fi novel by Cixin Liu of the same title. Whereas science can calculate the movement, speed etc. of a meeting between two celestial bodies, it is still not possible to calculate the results of a situation where three celestial bodies meet. Three Body, Dance explores this unresolved physical complex through three ceramic objects and two dancers’ choreographed movements.
