Wire Structures, 2007

Metallic and cotton thread, dimensions variable.

Simple structures made of metallic and cotton threads. The cotton thread undermines the stability of the flexible metal wires, so that the balance point of the structures becomes extremely narrow. The structures themselves emerge from the room’s architecture in harmony with the room’s unique shape and flow. Atmospheric conditions such as drafts and movement cause them to move slightly and they are occasionally overturned. Due to their delicate colours and materials, the structures sometimes seem to disappear as a result of changes in light conditions and perspectives.
